“Circular economy aims to reduce or eliminate negative externalities of the agri-food sector while simultaneously promoting a new, sustainable production model that is crucial to achieving the UN’s Sustainable development food and environmental targets. With increasing global demand for food, it is time to focus on agri-food production models and business plans that are capable of achieving sustainable food systems. Therefore, employing the 9Rs strategies for the circular economy can enhance novel policy design targeted towards achieving the goal of feeding the globe through sustainable practices.”
