Practical Information

For ICABR 2025, we have registered our Conference with the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), which should help speed up the application process for those needing a visa. Visa’s in the past have taken 6-8 weeks however, they are done case-by-case, therefore it could take longer, depending on the influx of applications. So, we recommend you look into whether a visa is needed and apply as soon as possible.

Application Types

Most foreign nationals need a temporary resident visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. Submit a TRV Application

Participants may be automatically directed to apply via the IRCC Portal. However, all participants applying for a visa to attend an event which is registered with IRCC, should apply for their visitor visa via the IRCC Secure Network by clicking on this this link: IRCC Secure Network.

If you are applying for If you require a letter for a visa or the Special Event Code for your Visa application, we can provide you with one. To do so, you first need to either:
•    Be registered for ICABR 2025;
•    have a paper/poster/case study/panel accepted; or be registered as a full attendee (if not presenting); and
•    have paid to attend the conference.
