
Carl Pray is a Distinguished Professor of Agriculture, Food and Resource Economics at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, USA. He was named a Senior Foreign Expert by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology affiliated with Beijing Institute of Technology February 1, 2018 to January 31, 2019. His main research is on agricultural science and technology policy in China, India, Africa and other developing countries. He has written extensively on agricultural biotechnology, bioeconomy and agricultural input industries. Currently he has research projects on the impact of policy change on rural development, poverty and nutrition in Africa, the contribution of government research and innovation policies to agricultural productivity in China and the impact of digital agriculture in developing countries.
