Dr. David Zilberman, professor of agricultural and resource economics at the University of California – Berkeley, was awarded the 2019 Wolf Prize in Agriculture.
The Wolf Prize is an annual international award since 1970s, recognizing six categories: agriculture, chemistry, mathematics, medicine, physics, and the arts. Dr. Zilberman is one of 329 elite to be honored across the world as a Wolf Award recipients.
David is one of the founders of the ICABR conference, with Vittorio Santaniello and Robert Evenson. David has a passion for agricultural development and innovation as it applies to biotechnology and the bioeconomy. He has been a staunch supporter of technology advancement in developed and developing countries.
The Board of Directors of the International Consortium on Applied Bioeconmy Research would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to David for being awarded such a distinguished prize. His contributions to research and teaching make him a very deserving recipient.
